Announcing Web Clipper to Apple Notes

· 2 min read

We built the Web Clipper to Apple Notes because saving web content to Apple Notes should be simple — select, click, done. No cloud relay, no account required, no data leaving your Mac.

The problem

Apple Notes is great for quick capture, but Apple doesn't offer a public API for third-party integrations. That means there's no straightforward way to clip a webpage and land it in Notes without copy-pasting manually.

How we solved it

Web Clipper uses a two-part approach: a browser extension captures the content you want, and a lightweight macOS bridge app delivers it directly to Apple Notes. Everything happens locally on your Mac — your data never touches our servers.

What you can do with it

  • One-click clipping — save an entire article, a selected snippet, or the full page.
  • Rich content — formatting, links, and layout are preserved.
  • Tags and notes — add your own tags and annotations before saving.
  • Local processing — the bridge app runs on your machine. No cloud, no tracking, no sign-up.

Try it now

Web Clipper to Apple Notes is available as a free download for macOS with extensions for Chrome and Firefox.
